Splish Splash I was taking a bath!!!

I am such a bird watcher! It is one of those frebbies in life that my husband and I both enjoy much. This evening before dinner we were looking outside the kitchen window and the blue birds had come in for their nightly baths. They hardly visit us during the really hot days of summer but more this time of the year. We're not sure why but glad they do.

They sure looked like they were enjoying it. They didn't get into too many fights while waiting in line. Sorry the pics aren't better. It's hard taking them thru blinds and the window.

Love the pictures. I never see bluebirds, only jays. But we have lots of cardinals. I love the birds too. I like to put out thistle in the winter for gold finches.

Great pictures Susie, I don't get Bluebirds either just the Bluejays. They look like they are pretty content cooling themselves off in your birdbath. :)

Love your bluebirds. I've only seen one in my yard in all the years I've lived here, and he didn't stick around. Lucky, lucky you!!!

Meadowview, Racquel, Beckie-I'm sorry you don't have bluebirds. They are the cutest things and have the sweetest song.

Marmee-We have had them nest in houses before as well. Here in MS we haven't put any up. Maybe a future project.

Nina-We enjoy watching them in the bath so much. Such fun and free entertainment.

flydragon-Sorry you don't get to see bluebirds much. They really are fun to watch.

Susie, those are wonderful pictures. If you click on them, you can see the birds up close. They are so pretty. I get mockingbirds here for the most part. I do see some red birds in the woods but they don't come close to the house for some reason. The do seem to be enjoying your pretty birdbath.

Oh, I am in bird envy! The pictures are fantastic! I have been trying all summer long to capture a photo of a family of blue birds that nested in my neighbors yard but have been unsuccessful. The trees are so full that they easily hide when I approach even from a distance.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit. I am up to three whole loops now with nary a miss!

Happy bird watching!

Beautiful birds, Susie and the photos are great! I'm so fascinated by angels in western gardens. Statues of any kind are not a common feature in my part of the world. I think I should now look around for something nice and not too big because my plot is small.
Thank you for your visits!!

Eve-I'm glad you enjoyed the pics. Sorry you don't get to see these cute little guys.

Sandy-The bluebirds are a little skittish. They won't come around much if we are out in the yard.

Kanak-I really enjoy angels and cherubs in my yard. Also, in my house. Maybe you will find something that will fit in your plot.
