Fuzzy Wuzzy was a.... no wait! That's a different story.

Well obviously this is no bear. Thank goodness. I'd hate to see a bear in my backyard. Seriously, I was walking around in my yard the other day and saw this little guy flitting about. He finally sat still long enough for me to snap this picture. I couldn't believe what a hairy little underbelly he had. Or maybe it's a beard that is hanging down to his little legs. lol However you look at it, I think he's cute!

Susie, I have tried all summer to get a good picture of these little guys. Great job! I think this is a type of 'skipper'. Loved the title. :0

Lovely photo - wish he'd come and visit me.

Came in from Blotanical. Wanted to leave you a welcome message there, but the site is taking so long to load I gave up. Hope this is just as good!

Marmee-It does look alot like a beard doesn't it? I wonder if it will continue to grow?

Sister-I think that is a bearded bear butterfly!!!

PGL-I'm glad you like the title. You know we gardeners got to have a little humor every once in awhile.

Casey-You crack me up girl!!!Next time I see you I'm going to pay close attention to those legs.

Beckie-I think I was almost standing on my head to get that picture! Ha,Ha!! So this is a skipper? It's probably pretty sad I don't know these winged beauties names.

Hi Sue, Thanks for visiting my blog and for the blotanical welcome. I tried to send a message through blotanical last night and wasn't successful either.

Flydragon-These comments are pretty funny! I'm glad you enjoyed the post.

I think that one is a silver spotted skipper.

A very important pollinator, now with less honeybees around.

Nice picture Susie.

Nice little bearded, butterbaby.

I am amazed at how much most gardeners know about birds, butterflies and bees, compared to me. I know nothing. But I do enjoy learning from all of you guys.

Robin-Thanks for visiting my blog. Thanks for telling me the name of the skipper. I truly enjoy little winged gifts but I don't always know the names of them.

TC-I really hate whats happening to the honeybees so good to know this little guy is a good pollinator. Glad you liked my picture!

Eve-Love that name-bearded butterbaby. That is too cute! I'm afraid I'm not much good at knowing names of insects. I'm like you, enjoy learning from others.

You get the best shots! I have never seen such an interesting butterfly. I'm thinking it looks like a beard too. So cute. Love how you take the time to notice all the treasures all around us!

GG-I'm glad you enjoyed my picture. Luckily, I had my camera in tow or I probably would have missed the shot.
