There's hardly anything blooming in the garden so I thought I would take a few close ups of whatever I could find.
I love hibiscus and have 4 that I have to bring in the house every winter. Moving them is a pain due to the large pots they are in but that's okay because they give me this unending color during the summer. This is a "Touch me not" bloom. I have these in several different colors.I'm not really into begonias but this baby has bloomed all summer for me. I love the dainty pink color. And lastly I did find one little verbena bloom in a pot I had planted earlier this season. As soon as I planted it, it just about croaked. I was pleasantly surprised to find it.
Hope everyone's gardens are showing off with lots of color!

My gardens have color here and there. It's either so hot and humid or raining around here the plants are real happy this time of the year. I love your hibiscus Susie.....
I have a few plants that come indoors in the winter, and it is a pain, but I love having the green indoors when it's cold and icky outside!
Susie, I like the close-up pictures of your flowers! I must get some hibiscus!
Beautiful! such vivid colors!
Great pictures of the hibiscuses! What is a touch me not??
Looks good to me! I like the hibiscus shot
Great photos Susie - I love all the color!
What beautiful color in the hibiscus Susie. So pretty! Only color left here are black eyed susans and butterfly bushes and a few roses. Either way too hot or rainy and humid!!!
Hi Susie. Love those pastel colors. I can see why you go to the extra work with the hibiscus. They are definitely worth the extra care.
Don't you love macro photography? It focuses the eye on certain things and gives so much detail.

Sis, I LUV thos close ups!!! And I thought you told me your flowers looked pitiful....sure looks fantabulous to me!!! Luv you!
Guess this summer has been a struggle for us all Susie.
Your blooms are beautiful!
You found quite a few blooms. Tell me more about hibiscus, please? I remember we had hibiscus growing everywhere when I lived in Hawaii, but did not think to grow them here .I love hibiscus, and have a sun room where all my geraniums grow into bushes during the fall/ winter/ early spring before I take them outdoors again. Would hibiscus do well there?
Susie, your colors are still warm and vivid, and that verbena is hot! How I love purple.
By the way, just posted a recipe for you... bran muffins. ;)
You do have some really pretty color. I love the hibiscus! How long have you had them? You must do a great job of overwintering them.
Ginger, A touch me not is a type of Impatien.
Marnie-I would be lost without that Macro setting. Love it lots!!!
Kathy-Hibiscus is a full sun plant. They are very tropical and that is why I take them in the house. I can't see why one wouldn't do well in your sun room. Before I bring mine in the house I cut them way back. Once inside, they lose almost all their leaves and are pretty ugly. But I don't have a sunroom or a very bright room.
Catherine-My pink one I have had for many years. The others are fairly new.
But you do have some lovely color in your garden, Susie! I can see why you love the hibiscus blooms; my mother manages to overwinter hers in the house, too, but I'm afraid I would kill one if I had it over the winter.
My garden has quite a bit of color for this time of year, only because we have had such a cool summer so far.
Yep, not much color in the yard now days. You did good finding so much variety. Very pretty.

I can't believe how quickly the late spring season caught up with itself somewhere around June fifth and now many of my August flowers are already done. A very compact season this year!
I parked my potted lilies in the shade at the beginning of July and I am enjoying their lingering perfume. Ahhhh.
Nice flowers!
Gosh, Susie, your flowers are beautiful! I wish I was good with flowers... it's a sad, sad story how I can kill anything green.
Amazing colours in your garden, Susie! They're all so beautiful! I really like the close ups. And the pink of the begonias....that's delicious!
Your bloomers are beautiful*!!!
I hope you are having a great Friday afternoon*! ((hugs))

Love the colors Ms. Susie!
Susie,
I love the colors and your photos are just wonderful! Thanks for dropping in.
Hey, I know you recently went to the Smoky Mountains, any must see's in the area? We are planning a trip there in the fall, probably going to be staying around the Gatlinburg area.
I hope you have great week!
These are wonderful my friend! Loving summer as you bring it to us via blogger!
Thank you for stopping by my page as well. YOU NEED to enter some local garden contest with those pretty blooms you have growing.
I will be back soon.... can't wait to see what you will share with us next.
