Colors on Monday-Yellow

It's time once again for Colors on Monday hosted by Jen at Unglazed. To participate click on Colors on Monday icon on my side bar.Care to guess? This is an upclose pic of a squash bloom. I wish I could tell you the squash did wonderful but I'd be lying if I did. I guess you could say the squash borers enjoyed it more than I.Rudbeckias are one of the easiest plants to grow. This particular one is Rudbeckia maxima. It grew to be about 7 feet tall. They can make a neat attraction to your flower bed.During our vacation in northern Arkansas we took a hike down by the Buffalo River. I can't resist stopping to take pics of wildflowers.

Hope you enjoyed my yellow pics and I hope everyone has a great YELLOW Monday!

Beautiful yellow blooms Susie. We never had success with squash either and we LOVE it! I bet the birds love your Rudbeckias. Happy Monday.

Wow, that is one big sunflower! Yellow seems to be the predominant color in my garden right now, too, with lots of rudbeckias still blooming their hearts out. My squash and cucumbers aren't doing so well either, Susie.

Good Morning, Susie! Great 'Yellow' shots today! Is that wildflower a Coreopsis? We see a good many of those around here in the Fall. I believe the Coreopsis is Mississippi's State Wildflower.

Beautiful yellow blooms, Susie....

We haven't been to the Wild Buffalo River in Northern Arkansas yet--but one of these days, I hope that George and I will get up there when we are in Arkansas.

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy

I love all the sunny yellow flowers in your garden--they do make me smile. I am sorry to hear of your squash blossom's demise. Nasty ole squash bugs!

I can always count on some good tunes to read your blog by!
7 feet tall? I want some of them!
The squash flower is pretty, even if you didn't get many squash..

Such a cheerful yellow! Darn those borers. My squash is barely surviving some sort of blight.
Sounds like a fun hike! I am glad you shared these photos of the flowers.

I didn't have any success with my squash this year either Susie. Such a shame too, I love fried squash patties. ;)

Hi Susie! That's too bad about the squash. I love the flowers, especially the wildflowers. How pretty! I hope you have a great week! :-)

Those rudbeckia are stunning, and how can there be a 'yellow' post without bright and cheery yellow flowers!

I love the sunny yellows. That rudbeckia is so neat, I'm going to see if it would grow here.

I've never heard of Rudbeckia maxima.
I learned something new today. Thanks

Those are nice yellow blooms. I normally get a few squash before the borers kill the plants, but this year, I did not.
