It's time once again for Colors on Monday hosted by Jen at Unglazed. To participate click on Colors on Monday icon on my side bar.Care to guess? This is an upclose pic of a squash bloom. I wish I could tell you the squash did wonderful but I'd be lying if I did. I guess you could say the squash borers enjoyed it more than I.Rudbeckias are one of the easiest plants to grow. This particular one is Rudbeckia maxima. It grew to be about 7 feet tall. They can make a neat attraction to your flower bed.During our vacation in northern Arkansas we took a hike down by the Buffalo River. I can't resist stopping to take pics of wildflowers.
Hope you enjoyed my yellow pics and I hope everyone has a great YELLOW Monday!

Very nice photos of lovely yellow flowers. I especially like the close up of the squash bloom.
Susie...great yellow photos..sorry about your squash...
Beautiful yellow blooms Susie. We never had success with squash either and we LOVE it! I bet the birds love your Rudbeckias. Happy Monday.
Wow, that is one big sunflower! Yellow seems to be the predominant color in my garden right now, too, with lots of rudbeckias still blooming their hearts out. My squash and cucumbers aren't doing so well either, Susie.
Good flower pix! I am not familiar with those rudbeckias - they are quite interesting!
Suzie..
delightful!
love the squash bloom!
hugs..

I'm sorry to hear about your squash, but your flowers are definitely pretty. Thanks for a great 'Yellow' post.
We didn't get as much squash as I had hope for.....
Luv the pictures.
I would've never guessed the squash. I LOVE wildflowers.
PS - "Hallelujah" is one of my favorite songs!
Good Morning, Susie! Great 'Yellow' shots today! Is that wildflower a Coreopsis? We see a good many of those around here in the Fall. I believe the Coreopsis is Mississippi's State Wildflower.
Beautiful yellow flowers. I didn't know squash bloomed?!! (I just eat it!)
Beautiful yellow blooms, Susie....
We haven't been to the Wild Buffalo River in Northern Arkansas yet--but one of these days, I hope that George and I will get up there when we are in Arkansas.
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy
Very nice yellow shots! The top one had me stumped until I read Janets comment. Happy Color Monday!
Happy YELLOW Monday Susie.
At least your squash gave you this pretty yellow bloom for today. :) Enjoy
I love all the sunny yellow flowers in your garden--they do make me smile. I am sorry to hear of your squash blossom's demise. Nasty ole squash bugs!
I can always count on some good tunes to read your blog by!
7 feet tall? I want some of them!
The squash flower is pretty, even if you didn't get many squash..
Such a cheerful yellow! Darn those borers. My squash is barely surviving some sort of blight.
Sounds like a fun hike! I am glad you shared these photos of the flowers.

Our squash plants bloomed like crazy but never produced any squash....hmm
I didn't have any success with my squash this year either Susie. Such a shame too, I love fried squash patties. ;)
Great shots Susie. Love the squash bloom...I hope you have better luck with them next time!!
Love it! What is it about yellow-it just makes me happy : )
Happy "Yellow" Monday Sis~~~ love the pics!!!!
Hi Susie! That's too bad about the squash. I love the flowers, especially the wildflowers. How pretty! I hope you have a great week! :-)
Those rudbeckia are stunning, and how can there be a 'yellow' post without bright and cheery yellow flowers!
I love the sunny yellows. That rudbeckia is so neat, I'm going to see if it would grow here.
I've never heard of Rudbeckia maxima.
I learned something new today. Thanks
Hey Susie ~ You're blog is beautiful*! I haven't been keeping up in Blogland as much as I should, but I'm hoping to get caught up. I hope you've had a great day, enjoyed the cooler temps, and having a great evening*!
((Hugs)) _Ashley
Those are nice yellow blooms. I normally get a few squash before the borers kill the plants, but this year, I did not.
Hi Susie...I like all the yellows but the close shot of the squash bloom is wonderful!!
Happy weekend!
The first photo is so very unusual, really like it.
