This is the first year I have planted Cosmos in my flower bed. I grew this baby from seed and am so happy I did. Most of the time you see pink/rose and white cosmos. This one is a little more orange than it shows in the pic.

I have this same cosmos in my garden, and it's definitely a winner! If it's the same variety I have, you'll find it re-seeds itself, so you won't even have to plant more next year, Susie.

Beautiful orange flower! The only flowers I have are roses and they are fairly easy to care for since I do not have a green thumb!

Oh..I just read this (in MG class on mondays) and asked if you grew cosmos in a comment back to you on my blog! How ironic--yes, you do grow cosmos and you grow them well. This is a beautiful flower! Hope you do consider more wildflowers! :)

I'm not a huge fan of orange, or cosmos, but I can see that combination would be an eye catcher in the garden!
I love Cosmos, and your orange makes me smile. For some reason, the Cosmos didn't reseed this year in my garden, and it is sorely missed. I love Orange flowers in the garden--makes me think of fall--and I am so ready for the seasons to change and the weather to cool down.
