I did a little work in my backyard this weekend and found a few things I wanted to share. My asters that a co-worker gave me earlier this summer was smiling at me. What a nice surprise!I like the way this pink rose shows off against my Autumn Joy Sedum.I forget which salvia this is, but to me the blooms are almost electrifying. Hummers really like this plant.Mushrooms anyone? We've had so much moisture I guess they were bound to show up.Their undersides were almost spongy unlike most mushrooms I've seen with those gills. Not far from the mushrooms I found this pretty feather. Pretty sure it belonged to a jay. Then lastly I liked being able to see the leaves from above reflected in my bird bath.
It's hard to get things done in the yard when you have a camera in hand. Oh well, maybe next weekend I'll accomplish more.
Happy gardening everyone!

That is an unusual mushroom! We've had quite a few really big ones with all this rain! Your salvia is the prettiest I've seen - I bet the hummers were attracted to that. I am hoping the leaves will be very colorful this Autumn. I look forward to seeing photos from everyone. Hope you have a good night.
Thanks for the garden tour. I'm like you, I see beauty everywhere I look. From bird feathers to reflexions in water, it's all so amazing.
Sissy, yours flowers are still so pretty. I would love to show you my yard, however, I don't have any waders!
Hi Susie,
Nice pictures from your yard! I need to get Salvia next year to attract the hummers. I love reflections, even in a birdbath or puddle!
Beautiful Susie.... I love your Fall flowers ---and even the mushrooms. Our Jays disappear from my yard about this time. They are here all Spring and Summer and in early Fall. Then --they are gone. BUT--I know that they don't migrate. SO---where are they???? I have no idea.
Hugs,
Betsy
The Asters are so pretty, such a nice flower to have blooming in fall. The rose does look really pretty with your 'Autumn Joy'. I really like those single roses. It's pretty fun to be able to find so much happening in your own backyard.
I love to take a trip around my yard to see what I can see. You got some great pictures...
Molly
Good job!
Because of deer, dogs, and other critters, the only thing I can grow in the yard are bugs....
LOL
The blue jay feather caught my eye. Those feathers are like jewels from the sky...isn't it startling to see so much spring like color in your garden? You have a lot of blossoms for this time of the year. Beautiful pictures.
Susie, It is hard to get anything done when a camera is in hand. :) Bit what great findings and photos. Don't you just love that aster!
Great variety here..mmm why don't I have Asters?
Hi Susie, we have lots of mushrooms too. It's wonderful to see all the shapes and colors. Too bad they are so unpredictable. It would be fun to grow mushroom gardens;)

I find myself enjoying the garden more with a camera in hand, too--it really makes you stop and see those little "surprises" you didn't notice before. Your aster is really pretty; it's great to have something like this blooming in the fall.
Susie,
I have the same aster, sedum and salvia blooming. Great picture of the reflection in the birdbath! Fall is here!!
Susie,
Yes, it is difficult to get stuff done in the garden when we want to take photos to share, but I am so glad you did! I love the birdbath shot, that is my fave.

We've had a fair number of mushrooms this year as well, but I haven't noticed any as interesting as the ones you pictured. We don't have as many blooming flowers, either.
Susie...great photos...love the last one of the bird bath...we've got mushrooms popping up every where also...
Love your garden & pics Susie. We had some mushrooms but they are gone now ... it is pretty dry here.
Pop over for a visit & join me.
Have a warm snuggly eve. TTFN ~Marydon
I enjoyed seeing what all you discovered, Susie. I love the color of that salvia too. It is so vibrant. :)
I have noticed my asters are about to bloom again. This is my first year to have them, and I didn't realize they would bloom again. I have mushrooms everywhere to...they gross me out!
Nice to see you still have some blooms to tend to.
Susie ~ Please thank you DH for serving his fellow man in such a brave selfless job. Hope you will join me ... Have a warm snuggly eve. TTFN ~Marydon
Those Asters are a really nice color! My folks always have Autumn Joy sedums since that is my name - Autumn Joy. Not the prettiest plant to have share my name but then I don't think I'd like to be named 'Hibiscus' or 'Gladiola'. =) Love your birdbath!
Your blooms look great! I especially like the asters and the single rose against Autumn Joy. Interesting mushrooms and that feather is gorgeous! Glad to know there are many people out there who also enjoy looking at reflections on water:) Mirrored in your birdbath, the leaves sure look pretty!
Have a great day, Susie!
Good pictures, Susie.
Ramona
