I'm so frustrated right now I could spit bullets. Since I have an unexpected day off I decided I needed to clean this filfthy house(thanks Blogger and Facebook). So I grabbed my little can of Pledge and decided to do some dusting. Bye the way, this is the dustiest house you will ever see.
I'm going along from room to room and dusting and basically enjoying myself at how much I'm getting done. Then my phone rings and I have a 1 minute conversation. After hanging up I start to continue my dusting and all of a sudden Mr. Pledge has disappeared. Okay, where did he go?
I traced my steps back and forth, back and forth and people he has literally taken wings and flown away. I'm thinking, where did he go? Oh my goodness my house isn't that big!
So I thought okay lets take another look for the fortieth time! Can you say aggravated and frustrated at the same time?!?!?
Finally I found him, hooray!Ah, there you are you little booger. Now get this, he was sitting right in the living room floor right where doofus here left him. Now I have to question my sanity. Why did I leave him on the living room floor out of sight and mind? Duh?

Do'ya think 'he' got tired of the working? Chuckle!
OMG! My house is the kind where you HAVE to dust every other day, OR ELSE! Terribly dusty ... drives me bonkers!
Have a great day, ladybug! (PS, it gets worse the older you get! Chuckle!)

At least it wasn't in the fridge...dusting is one chore I do not like when doing it, but love how it feels and smells when it's finished!! Come on over here, my house is next!
I have lots of moments like that. Sometimes it frightens me because it might be age related. But then I remember, I did the same silly stuff when I was 20.
OMG!!!!! Your older sister here did the very same thing a couple of days ago. I was thinking the same thing and walking back and forth, back and forth, finding myself getting in a horrible mood. FINALLY.....I found my little man can on Casey's bed right where I had laid him, except he had gotten wise and rolled himself under the flap of my suitcase! Guess he was tired of working....tee hee hee!!!
Funny Susie.... We all do silly things like that ALOT... But---are you sure that Pledge just didn't walk away trying to hide from you????? ha ha
Hugs,
Betsy--who is THRILLED to be home 'finally'
Susie,
You are not alone in this... and I do it all the time. It is funny what happens with our brains when we get sidetracked. I find I burn stuff in the oven more often since I started blogging :)
I have to paint my bathroom today. I hope I don't lose the paintbrush.

Happens often here. My kids seriously think I'm losing it.
It's not just you. I swear I look right at something and can't find it. Look for the umpteenth time and it's right there.
Ramona
I am comforted by the fact that I am not the only one to do this!!!
No, no - this never happens to me. Everything in my house is neat and tidy and organized and I never misplace anything... wait, are those my glasses? I've been looking for the everywhere! :)
Happens to me too! Oh, I can understand, Susie!!
This is something I can relate to! Most of the things I'm using when interrupted manage to hide before I can get back to them.
Too bad you found him...I guess you had to continue on with the dusting.
LOL I seem to be having more and more of those days...glad I'm not the only one...love your new header...
Why Susie, don't try to tell me that isn't normal...why I do it all the time and I know I'm normal...lol...I just say the little Elves came and got it cause their little house was dusty too.
Molly
Oh yes, that is a definite problem here too.
Debbie
I guess subconsciously you wanted something else to do ~ like a treasure hunt! That darn phone - it'll mess you up every time!
It's so good to hear that I'm not the only one who does silly things! ;-)
This happens to me all the time! I think subconciously I really want to misplace the Pledge. I have not misplaced my kids yet, so I guess I am alright (they are kind of loud so that will not happen, haha).
You are definitely not alone on this one. I'm always setting things down somewhere and then off on a search to find them again later. I'm glad you did finally find it! :)
I do that with the phone all the time. Even when it's ringing I go from room to room looking for it.
I love the new look of your blog, very fallish :)
Susie, hang in there-it gets worse, I promise you! The hours I have spent retracing my steps to find something or try to remember what it was I wanted to do or get.:)
We live very close to a grain elevator and my house is constanly bombarded by dust from it. (or at least that's my excuse!!)
Oh Susie! It goes with the age..I call them brain cramps..who knows why we do when we do..humor gets us through and in this case elbow grease! Keep things sparkly!smiling
Susie I am going to disagree with Naturegirl....I don't if it is the age or not because I am 30 and I do this EVERYDAY!!!! AHHH!!! I will walk from the den to the kitchen and stop and think 'what was I going to do'? Now that is sad! I think if I am this bad at 30I am REALLY going to be bad off the older I get !LOL!
LOL, I loved Darla's comment. I do this all the time. Hubby has actually left the TV remote in the fridge. ;)
For me it is always the 'disappearing cup of coffee', now how does one manage to lose a cup of coffee so very often? Funny and so close to home Susie!
It happpens way more times then I want to admit! No,I have to disagree, my house is the dustiest!
gail
Sometimes I swear there are little fairies out there who like to tease and torment me! Sometimes I've turned away for just a few seconds, only to look back to pick up the 'thing' that I'd set down 'right in front of me', and it's not there! And I never find it, either! My mind is seriously going.....!
haaaaaaaaaa,
It must be somethign in the water?
I too "lost" a DVD for a couple hours, Picked it up to plug it in, and then something distracted me, laid it down and then had to hunt it down, THE next day it was a BOOK,,, very aggravating!!!
seeya,
the best is yet to come!!!
