Now you see them! Now you don't!!!
It amazes me how little birds can make little nest in such odd places. This is my mil's front door. The little nest is right behind the flowers. We kept seeing little ones flying in and out of here and now we know why. Turns out they are little finches.
An update from my blue bird house is all 5 birdies are gone. Believe it or not we now have a new family making a new nest. Makes me proud to contribute to the blue bird population.

Susie, that is so cute! It's strange how they choose the place for their nest!
How fun to have all these little ones to watch. Wishing you a blessed weekend.
I guess they nest where they feel safe...so cute and congrats on your second blue bird family!
Isn't it funny what places the birds choose for a nest? You're lucky to be able to see these as well as the bluebirds. I usually don't get to see any babies here until they're ready to fly off, because their nests are too high up in the trees.
Aw...they are so sweet, Susie! What a cool picture. It is amazing the places they find to build a nest. :)
We have a pair of BB nesting in the corner of the porch.
Amazing. Bird watching, really watching, is a source of never ending amazement. Currently we are enjoying the antics of kildeer parents and the one time (camera-less) close up spotting of their young on an incredible "sit-stay".
Those guys were really tucked away and hidden well!
Amazing they would think to make their nest in flowers hung on a door! I'm sure the door opens and closes often? And that doesn't seem to bother them!
Wish I had birds making their nests like that!! Out here, they are in places where we usually don't get to see!:(
Have a great week, Susie!
Love my blue birds, and i managed to save one this week from the Banita kitty. sure am glad I happened to be around at the time.
