Colors on Monday-Blue
I can't believe it's that time again for Colors on Monday. And I'm sure you guessed it. Today's color is blue.First up, my Caryopteris(bluebeard) is starting to look really pretty right now. The bees are loving it as much as I am. This perennial can get 2-3 feet tall and almost as wide. Blooms in the fall which is great when other things are starting to fade.
Yesterday and today we had the prettiest blue skies. There was a wonderful crispness in the air which made it feel so fallish. I was loving it and I couldn't resist taking this pic.Of course, I couldn't do blue Monday without a pic of the beach. I'm not sure which was prettier. The water or the storm clouds that were gathering.
Hope you enjoyed my blue Monday. To see others click on my sidebar to see our hosts site, Jen and all the participants.

Your flowers and the beach are so pretty Susie but my favorite is the clear blue sky! It seems many of us have been blessed with less humidity and clear skies. It's been nice to be outdoors after such a hot summer. Enjoy your day.
I love blue in the garden, but it's hard to beat the blue skies we've been having lately. The beach looks pretty tempting, too. Hope you're enjoying this long weekend, Susie!
Happy Blue Monday Susie-
I'll take the blue beach water.
Good Labor Day Morning to you, Susie! these are some beautiful selections for today!! Hope you enjoy your holiday!!
Gorgeous pictures, Susie! I love the beach. I wish I was there right now. Happy Labor Day Monday to you! :)
Bluebeard has a beautiful flower. I'd love to have that in my fall garden. We've had beautiful blue skies this weekend. Happy Blue Monday!
I love a touch of blue in the garden. Especially my favorite--BLUEBONNETS!!! Planting those seeds really soon! :) Happy Monday Susie!
I like your blue flowers (and the beach of course), but I'm loving the blue skies and crisp air we are now enjoying. You got a great picture of the quarter moon.
Beautiful blue pictures! The last one makes me want to take of for the beach!
I like the bluebeard flowers. Don't think I've ever seen one.
Hi Susie, Your choice of BLUES are excellent --all of them... I especially love the beach picture with those storm clouds ....
Have a fabulous Labor Day.
Hugs,
Betsy
Nice blue sky! We were treated to a pretty blue on yesterday too. Today, not so much.
Such sweet BLUE photos!!!
Hi Susie, I'm not familiar with the first plant but will have to look for it! Hope you're enjoying this beautiful weather!
Beautiful pictures! I love the blue sky with the crescent moon!
great photos Susie..the last one is my favorite....
There's little I like more than a beach scene, was enjoying some stormy shots myself today!
Very nice, it's hard to tell where the sky ends and the water begins..
Beautiful examples for Blue Monday. :) I love that 'Bluebeard', it's a shrub I keep meaning to plant.
I haven't seen the ocean in many years. This post made me want to vamoose to Oregon or anywhere besides the mountains today. We have had a fire burning near us and the air quality sucks!
Oh that sand looks so silvery in the picture. I must get outside once it stops raining and the winds decrease and see if my caryopteris is flowering yet. We've been experiencing the tail end of one of your North American hurricanes here in Scotland for the last 24 hours.

Luv the pictures Susie.
Hope you had a great Labor day.
I love Caryopteris. I always forget about it and then suddenly I see the pretty blue flowers blooming.
Lucky you to have such clear blue skies!
Bluebeard is gorgeous. Love the photo of the crescent moon in that blue sky, and that beach pic looks so nice. Can you believe Labor Day has come and gone? Crazy!
Ahhhh the beach with that fab blue sky looks wonderful. The flowers are sweet too...blue is such an uplifting color!
I love the blue/gray clouds over the beach, it is so tranquil feeling, the calm before the storm.
Great moon shot.
Molly
