Just Randomness

Not much going on but dh has been experimenting with my camera. He really isn't much of a shutter-bug but he has captured a couple of good pics.
This little dragonfly was flitting around in the backyard. Looks like he was doing a balancing act.
Then I was out one morning and spied this guy. I like how transparent his wings are.Hubbie caught this baby mockingbird in a neighbors tree. It had been in our garage and couldn't find it's way out. Notice his little tailfeathers are not yet formed.

I love finding little winged babies in our yard. I hope you find some in yours.

Happy weekend everyone!

Gorgeous pictures! Well done. I have never been able to capture a picture of a dragonfly. The little mockingbird is so sweet. There are babies everywhere right now.

Hi Susie! you made me laugh with the dragonfly photos: looks like acrobatics. And the baby mockingbird... so sweet.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend. This evening we are finally seeing blue sky with a promise of sunshine tomorrow... that will make our vegetable garden happy.

Hi Susie! I love seeing dragonflies around here. They look like little be-jeweled helicopters and I will stop what I am doing to watch them.

Baby birds are interesting to watch and whenever I find a little fledgling I watch to make sure it is O.K. How did the little mockingbird find it's way out?

Great photos of the dragonfly, Susie! I have been known to chase them around the garden trying to get one good picture:) I haven't seen a dragonfly here this year yet, but we have had a lot of butterflies, which I'm happy about because we had so few last year. I love this time of year--so much happening in the garden and outdoors.

Hubby did a good job capturing the dragonfly. They crack me up zooming around the garden. :)

Hi Susie, mockingbirds are not native to my region but I swear I saw one Saturday afternoon. Maybe they are moving farther north.

I love dragonflies! I like their big eyes. Always remind me of Odie, the dog on Garfield.
