Receiving and Giving

Recently I won third place in a contest over at Pigeon Has Pants. If you haven't visited here before be sure to check out the site. It's really cute and full of great photos. It was a caption contest where a picture was posted and you had to give it a caption. Well I entered never thinking I would win but sure enough I won 3rd place. How exciting is that? This is what I won.....It's a beautiful heart shaped prism. When the sun shines on it little flecks of light dance around the room. I don't have to tell you how great it is to receive gifts like this. So, I want to pass the fun onto some one else. Here's what you can win......................A great guide to butterflies and moths. This little guide is filled with many different photos and information for anyone interested in identification. I like it so much I would like to keep it for myself. But as stated before I want to pass along the fun. All you have to do to be eligible for this giveaway is have an active blog and leave a message on this post by 2/13/09, 10:00 p.m. central time. A winner will be announced sometime on 2/14/09.

Also I want to let you know another giveaway is going on at Quill Cottage. You might want to go over and check that one out as well. Sandy is quite talented at crafting and her creations are amazing! Good luck!

Congrats on winning the prism. How pretty that is going to be on a sunny day.

I am all up for entering your contest, if you allow Canadians. LOL.

Nothing is more frustrating than finally seeing some butterflies, and moths around here, and not being able to identify them. All the other bloggers had beautiful butterflies last summer, I had nothing, until late August, we found a painted lady. She was beautiful.

Congrats on winning the beautiful prism. Well, as the "butterfly lady" I would love to be able to identify all the visitors to my butterfly bushes. Thanks for having such a great, fun giveaway.

Okay Miss Susie, Add me to your list. I think it's about time that this
67 yr. old woman needs to learn about butterflies. The book looks great!

Hugs to you,
Betsy

Hey Susie,
Congrats on the prism...I bet it's really pretty in the sunshine! Since we have moved out here away from "town" a little bit, I have lots more butterflies and birds. I love watching the hummingbirds and butterflies fly around! I would love to win your givaway so I would know what I'm watching!
Yes, Memphis used to be fun, but boy has it changed, I hardly go there unless I just have to. I like staying in my little corner of the world.

Aren't prisms cool? I love to see the colors they spray on the walls. Sometimes when the girls and I catch something throwing light around the dining room we freeze and we each try and figure out what is reflecting the light. Anna is pretty good at the game.

Congratulations on winning the prism, Susie; that will add even more sunshine to your house!

How nice of you to do this giveaway--count me in! I bought a butterfly identification book for Beckie for her birthday last year--it might have even been the same one. I know she enjoyed it, not only for herself, but the granddaughters had a great time identifying all the butterflies they saw.
