Christmas in the Square!

Last night we braved the cold and went into town to see all the pretty lights in the square. I don't know what the temp was but "freeze my little tushie off" sounds about right! We had such a good time last year that we wanted to check it out again.

The above pictures are of the courthouse that is in the middle of the square. Sorry for the blurriness of the picture. I'm not real experienced at taking pictures at night, but I'm learning.
Every square needs a gazebo. Isn't it pretty all lit up? I'm not sure why the reindeer are pulling a wagon full of hay. My guess is they are mighty hungry. All the store fronts were beautifully decorated. They played Christmas music too! The merry-go-round was festively decorated. Did you notice how there's no one around. We couldn't figure that out either. Last year you couldn't move for all the people.Lastly I wanted you to see these store fronts. Aren't they beautiful. I thought the pics turned out pretty good considering they are taken through glass. I love the big striped flowers in this window.I really like all the green and gold in this one.And in the opposite window of the same store was this beautiful red window.

Well I hope you enjoyed the tour and maybe help put you in the Christmas spirit.

Susie, What lovely pictures. I especially like the striped flowers and the brighter green store front display. Your town square looks very much like ours. Strange though about the absence of crowds this year?!

What a wonderful old fashioned Christmas! I love when the smaller towns go all out for Christmas. There are a few towns near here who have night parades with the floats all lit up. Very fun to see. And after the parades all the stores have special shopping hours with lots of give-aways. Some of them even offer hot cocoa and hot wassil.

I'm glad you braved the cold to take part in the fun. I'll bet you came away with a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Kanak-I'm glad you enjoyed the pics. I obviously need to practice taking pictures at night.

Bec-I'm glad we went too! I just wish more people had been there.

Racquel and Terri-We don't have a clue where everyone was. Maybe they had gone a little earlier.

Mildred-Don't you just love town squares? It reminds me of how stores were when I was growing up.

Thanks Jacquie-Christmas lights and decorations are great!

Meadowview-Glad you enjoyed the decorations. We had a good time walking around and listening to the music.

Beckie-It does remind you of an old fashioned Christmas doesn't it?

A.Joy-Last year the gazebo was a popular picture taking spot for families.

Darla-It seemed like we had the whole square to ourselves. We really missed the crowd!

Susie, "freeze my little tushie off" made me laugh out loud! HA!

Your square is beautiful and sounds similar to my hometown with the courthouse in the square downtown.

I love all the store front windows. Wow--they are gorgeous!

I enjoyed these photos very much!

I love little towns with their squares especially during holidays when they're all lit up. Since there is no town square here, thanks for taking me with you to see yours. And I was a lot warmer than you were:)
