The first time I had ever heard this story was while living in Georgia. It is definitely a favorite. As I listen to it I can feel every emotion and see every scene in my mind. I hope you enjoy your ride on "The Train".
WOW sis! Thank you so much for sharing this story with us here in blogland. I've never heard it before and it is soooo touching! Excuse me while I get a tissue!
Mildred-It's rainy, really foggy and was very cold this a.m.(especially when I was out in it all morning). Right now it is 42 degrees. It's suppose to start warming up the next couple of days tho.
Sister-I'm glad you enjoyed the story. I thought you had heard it. It reminds me so much of when we were little.
This is new to me too. I smelled the smells and tasted those cookies all over again. Funny how memories are being created while we do things and don't even really realize it at the time.
Jen-Oh I'm glad you hadn't seen it before. I love how descriptive he is. My mom use to make Christmas cookies when we were little that looked like those.
Kanak-I'm glad you enjoyed it! I liked it so much I went out and bought the cd a couple of years ago.
I've never heard this story either, Susie. It's very touching and reminds me of all the memories associated with Christmas. Thanks for sharing with us!
Loved it, Susie... I had heard it--but it has been years ago. This is my first time to your blog--and I am enjoying it SO much. I was one of Dorothy's award choices --just as you were. You'll have to check out my blog sometime also. Hugs, Betsy
