The last of November

I can't believe tomorrow is the first day of December. Is that incredible or what? The last few days here have been semi-warm, very foggy, rainy and gloomy looking. Today we saw a little of Mr. Sunshine but not much; Mr. Windy sure showed himself today. Tonight there is a possibility of snow. Crazy weather!

I was able to walk outside a take a few pictures of what is left of the garden. This is what I saw.

The pincushion flower is still showing off a little. This plant bloomed for me almost all winter last year. I am hopeful it will again this year. I love the fact that it is an evergreen.

The three upright evergreens I planted this past June are doing great. I think Gloria is enjoying her home here.
These are the sweetspires I blogged about several weeks ago. I wanted you to see the beautiful orange/red color of the foliage. With this rainy, foggy weather they had really stood out. They almost look like they are glowing.
The Arkansas Blue grass is still pretty with it's golden glow. But as hard as it is trying, it can't wake up the sleeping butterfly weed beside it.
Then I discovered my rosemary blooming. This is a nice surprise. My rosemary I had in GA was 4't and 4'w and never bloomed. This little one is tiny compared to that but its smiling at me big time.

Well that is about it from my garden for now. Hope you enjoyed the tour. I do have a current project going on but it has been too wet to work on. I will blog on it when finished. Of course that could take til spring(lets hope not, but I don't like cold weather).

Gloria is standing so proud. I think she likes being in the midst of the evergreens!

It's nice to see a few things still blooming in your garden Susie. All I have left is the pansies & mums now. We've had rain all day, yuck! Can't wait to see what your new project is all about.

Bec-Gloria is a happy girl for sure!

Racquel-Actually I do have some Crown blue pansies in bloom too. They are in the front bed and I never take pictures out there. Shame on me.

Thanks for the tour. We've had rainy, gloomy weather the past few days too. I love the pincushion and rosemary blooms. Don't you love the fragrance of rosemary? Do you ever tie a little bundle of rosemary on a Christmas gift - it smells heavenly!

Susie, That pincushion flower is quite a trooper. I've planted at least one every year, but they never come back for me. Of course, right now nothing is blooming in my garden, as you saw. I can't believe you might get snow, too!

Susie, love your new header and back ground. Tis the season...! How wonderful to have a few flowers still in bloom. Those sweet spires do have lovely fall foilage, and the evergreens look right at home. Hope it doesn't snow too much there!

Love the festive look of your blog! The nativity makes a lovely header and I like the reindeer.
It's been oddly warm here the past few days and while I was out shopping tonight it got VERY foggy for the drive home. It doesn't quite seem like December here yet.
It looks like several of your plants agree.

Yep, it's that time of the year. I like your garden areas, can't wait to see them in the spring.

Hey susie,
Those sweetspires look like little flames coming out of the ground. Neat.

Thanks for the tour Susie. Lovely seeing what a garden in your part of the world can look like now. The rosemary blooms are so pretty.

The end of Nov...the same thought crossed my mind as I posted yesterday but forgot to mention it in my post. Love your header too, so apt for this season.

Mildred-I do love the fragrance of Rosemary. I never thought to tie it to a package before. That is a great idea! I have cut some, tied them up in bundles and put them in among the branches of my artificial tree though.

Rose-Sorry your little pincushion doesn't come back for you. You may not have blooms in your yard right now but it is hard to beat those winter wonderland pics. We didn't get any snow to speak of last night.

Beckie-I'm glad you like my new header and background. As I told Rose no snow to speak of. I'm pretty glad of that.

A.Joy-It doesn't really feel much like December yet either but I just wanted to change the background. I've already put up the Christmas tree and a few decorations as well. Crazy? Probably but enjoying it.

Darla-It will be interesting to see what comes back next spring. Right now that seems like a long way off. I guess I better enjoy the winter for now.

flydragon-They do look like little flames don't they. As a matter of fact I was trying to write a poem for this post but nothing came to mind. Oh well, sometimes you got it, sometimes you don't.

Kanak-I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. It is fun to see what other peoples gardens look like this time of the year. Thanks for your sweet comments regarding my header too.

Good Morning Susie! I'm surprised to see flowers still blooming in your yard. All mine are brown. I knew the weatherman was just teasing us about the forecast for snow!! They just want us to get excited!

Hi Susie. Nice shots of the garden. I don't have anything left alive except for the potted mums that my mom & Lyle brought back from West Virginia 2 months ago. Can't say that they are blooming though!
Take care and have a great week.

Dorothy-The way it looks outside right now you'd think it was going to snow. I worked half a day and about froze to death standing outside.brrrh!!

Lisa-Glad you enjoyed the pics. I guess it is that time for everything to take a long winters nap!

Your nativity scene is very pretty!
You folks down south don't know what cold is... really. ha!
My friends in Minnesota tell Me that all the time, and they're right.... They get below zero days upon days. That's cold!

Isn't it nice to see a few things blooming? It's cold here today, but may get back in the 70's on Wednesday. Texas!! :)

Jen-I don't know how those folks up north do it. My southern blood is just too thin. I prefer to stay down here even with the 100 degree heat and mosquitoes.

Meadowview-It was really cold here today too! I worked half a day and about froze at that. It suppose to get in the 70's here Wednesday as well. I look forward to it!

I love your holiday decor here, the background is so pretty and I love the nativity on your banner. Little Gloria is so pretty. I hope your weather clears up so you can dig in the dirt! Have a sweet week Susie.

Sandy-I'm glad you like my holiday decor and my nativity. I had the hardest time trying to photograph it so it would look right on my page. I think Wednesday it is suppose to be 70 so hopefully I can "dig" some. Hope you have a glorious week as well.

Flowers in bloom in December! So jealous I am! HA! It is snowing and 26 degrees here right now. Schools were delayed two hours due to black ice on the roads.

I'm glad they are there for you to enjoy, though, Susie. Thank you for sharing the photos.

You are welcome Daisy and 26 degrees?!?!? Oooooh that is cold!
