Update on my Monarch Cocoon

Lisa from Raccoon Lover recently asked how my cocoon that I blogged about is doing. Well, there has been some change but not much as you can see. Notice the sides are more sunken inward. I guess it has turned a little more darker as well. While I was checking on my Moon flower vine I found another one. This one is much more darker.
If you left click you can see the wing and it's colors.
I sure hope I am able to see this little guy come out of his little home.

Thanks for the update Susie. All those caterpillers I had this summer & I never found any cocoons.

Racquel-They really are camouflaged good. I just got lucky finding the one on the moon flower vine.

Glad you posted the photos, Susie. Even the subtle changes are a delight to see. Good luck with the shots when they finally emerge.

Susie,
Looks like it won't be too much longer. We expect you to sit outside day and night with your camera to capture the "grand opening".

Kanak and Marmee-Thanks girls. I think it's pretty neat how you can see the wing prints and colors thru the cocoon.

Nesa-Camera pro?, hardly but I really enjoy taking photos. Glad you enjoy my blog.

flydragon-I just checked on the status of it and I don't know how much longer it's going to be. I would love to camp out and watch but I don't think work would appreciate that!

Gail, Darla, and Meadowview-I am very excited about the upcoming birth of these babies. I'm beginning to wonder if it is ever going to happen.
