Pink isn't bad but how about blue?Okay I know what some of you are thinking. Spiderwort? Why it's just a common weed! I reckon in many places it is but I like it's blooms and basically it takes care of itself. Now who doesn't like those kind of flowers?I know this plant has appeared on my blog before but I just love it. It's called Arkansas Blue Star(?). It's very grass like, blooms these beautiful blue star like blooms and turns a beautiful golden color in the fall. Then lastly, aren't these the prettiest little blue bird eggs? The blue birds have been hanging out at the nest lots so I popped my camera in and this is what I found. Can't wait for the babies.
So until next time, happy gardening!

Very nice blues indeed. Spiderwort has it's place in the garden world....just not in the lawn please. Love the promise of new life in those eggs.
I love Spiderwort, and didn't even know it was considered a weed. I have two different varieties. They both stay in nice clumps.
I have spiderwort too and I like it.
I always had good luck with spiderwort and loved the brilliant blue blooms. I love your Arkansas Blue Star too. Lucky you to have little birds to check on soon. Enjoy this beautiful weather.
I like both your pinks and blues. Can't wait to see pictures of the baby birds, too.
Blue is good too! :-)
Beautiful pictures, Susie! Wow--five eggs. They will be fun to keep an eye on.
Oh Susie, You are the Grammy to FIVE Bluebirds and I am the Grammy to FOUR.
Love your BLUES.... I don't care what colors they are---I just love SPRING..
Hugs,
Betsy
We have spiderwort in the woods here, and consider it a beautiful plant. Your Arkansas Blue Star is very interesting. I don't think I've ever seen one.
All so beautiful! I can't decide a favourite out of all the blues and the pinks!! Looking forward to your baby bird pictures later.
Have a great weekend, Susie!
Blue is my favorite color, so I'm always looking for true blue flowers, which isn't easy to find. I love the amsonia or Arkansas Blue Star; I'm hoping to see some blooms on mine for the first time this year. Bluebird babies--how exciting!
Acutally, I like Spiderwort. My son has some around one of his trees that I am thinking of "borrowing." :) Well, just one or two!
I love Blue in the garden, it goes with so many other colors. You have some pretty choices today. :)
Your blues are as good as your pinks. You have to count me in as one who loves plants that take care of themselves.
