Thank You God

Oh my goodness, right now I am counting my blessings that I am able to sit here and type this.

This a.m. I went to the gym to run and then left there to go to Barnes and Noble for a Chai tea and the newest running magazine. When I left I pulled up to the red light and waited on the arrow to turn left. When it turned I mashed the pedal to go, got part-way into the street and looked left and had to slam on my brakes to keep from being hit by someone who had ran the red light. They were flying and either couldn't stop or didn't feel the need to. Luckily they swerved over or I truthfully think I would have been killed. They even had the audacity to honk their horn!!! I can't tell you how mad that made me. And usually I would have really gotten the shakes and my heart would have started racing but that didn't happen. As a matter-of-fact I stayed relatively calm (I don't know how). I really think a guardian angel was looking out for me. Had to have. I don't believe we all have appointed guardian angels but I do believe they are there looking out for us.

So as I sit here now I'm not mad, or shaky but things like this really make you realize how fast you can lose your life. If I hadn't looked left as I entered onto the road I have no doubt I would not be typing this right now.

So my friends I hope you all are having a great day and enjoying each and every moment. I know I am.

Susie, I am so thankful that you are safe. As you say, things can happen in an instant. I am glad you were not shaken badly and I hope you did get your new magazine and can comfortably curl up and read it.

Yes, so glad that you are okay. I try my best to look both ways even when the light changes in my favor. I can't count the number of times it's saved me from an bad accident.

Oh I'm so glad you are okay! What a scary thing to have happen. I'm glad something made you turn your head to look that way.

Susie, my goodness. What a fright! If my husband is driving a bit to close to another car, I tell him "I'm not concerned about his driving, but the crazies who are on the road and pay no attention". Moreso today than at any time, we really have to drive "defensively", always looking out for the other driver. Thank God you did Susie. Smart lady! ;)

I ABSOLUTELY believe in guardian angels and the voice of God.

Susie, your heart must still be beating fast. That was very close, and yes some people still have the audacity to honk at you.

Scary.

Susie, a guardian angel was there-looking out for you and for the idiots who ran the light. I am so glad. :) I know how quickly a life can be taken and most of the time I try to make the most of every moment.

Again, thank goodness you were the smart driver watching out ofr the other guy. And thank you to the angel that we still have our friend!

Sister......this is not what I wanted to be reading right before I go to bed tonight!! Geez, I'm sooooo glad you looked and through on your brakes!!!! I try to always look both ways before I cross, even if I'm not first in line to go, simply because one of our neighbors got hit broadsided crossing Hwy 67 at WAlmart years ago and he has been in constant pain for years. He is lucky to be alive. Crazy drivers and people ask me if I'm afraid to fly......seriously! Glad you are ok!!!!

Wow Susie,
It's stuff like this that really gives you a reality check and it's usually when you're least expecting it. I just got done reading my kids what the Bible says about angels and I'm with you and your thoughts there. Thank you Lord for watching over you today!

Those close calls often make me ponder the "what-if's", and I have also thought God has protected me from sure death. There have been a few times I am not sure there is any logical reason I escaped it....glad to know you did and live awhile longer! Praise God!

Oh Susie but God does give His Angels charge over us lest we dash our foot against a stone.....we just have to ask for Him to send them....apparently you have prayers over you..I thank God with you!

Susie ~ You are safe, Thank Heaven. Your guardian angels were surrounding. There are no guarantees in life, but thoughtless people sure can jeopardize our lives, can't they.
I think we've all been there & wind up shaking for hours of the fright ... in a blink ........

Have a beautiful weekend.

Hi Susie, I wonder if the driver didn't realize his light was red. Just one second's inattention could have killed you and maybe him too. I'm so glad you're ok. Don't stress over it. I was recently reading that we all need to practice stress reducing because it is very bad for our hearts and blood pressure.

You think maybe one of those guardian angels were gently whispering in your ear "look left" and you listened? Sure glad you did!

Wow! God is indeed good! Have a great weekend. I'm hoping you begin to get spring weather soon. I'm diggin' mine right now, although our temps have dipped a bit because of the clear skies.

I came here from Mildred's Menagerie. I'm so sorry for your close call. Lately people don't seem to care about whether a light is red or not. When people do stuff like that, I picture of them with my cell phone.

Wow!! God was watching out for you. That's kinda how I decided to take NOT getting to go to Houston... I may never know what God protected me from by keeping me here... and I'm okay with that.

Have a great day, Susie!
