Is it Spring Yet?

Is that wishful thinking? At least we have had some warmer temps lately along with blue skies and sunshine. Gotta love that!

Outside the window Mr. and Mrs. Bluebird have been checking out the bluebird box on a regular basis. One of them will go in and stay a couple of minutes and then fly out. I wonder what they are thinking while inside. Hopefully we'll be having babies again this year. These little guys are loving the birdbath even tho on this particular day the water was frozen.Looks like they are waiting on someone to come and break up the ice.I don't remember seeing these little guys here before and this year it seems like they are everywhere. But that is fine with me since they are so entertaining.

Hope your having a good day and possibly seeing something new for the first time.

Hi Susie, It got up to 67 here yesterday! It felt so good to be outside and feel the warm sunshine and hear the birds. The chickadees always make their home in our bluebird box! Cardinals are busy in the bushes by John's office window and the cats love to watch from inside. Are you planting anything new this spring?

I think that's the same kind of little bird that I am posting tomorrow morning.

Hope my guy finds his way back to the flock!

Hi Susie, I wonder if the snow up north here has driven more goldfinches to migrate south. Believe me, if I could just pick up and go south--I would:)

I hope the Bluebirds will stay and nest there. I love the Goldfinches too, we haven't seen that often around here. Lucky you to have so many visiting together.
It's felt very Springy here, but the rain and cooler are weather are on their way back soon.

I love the goldfinches, we have never had this many before, My feeders are covered with them. I love watching them fight over the last little bit of seed in socks before I fill it up again. They have emptied them 5 times since last Monday. I counted 15 at one time on it, that's not counting the one's on or under the big feeder and sitting in trees waiting their turn.

I haven't seen any goldfinches here this winter--they must have all flown south to visit you:) I do hope the bluebirds plan to start a family in your birdhouse! I think we're all ready for spring.

Oh no, I am torn. I don't know if I love the birds or the birdbath more. I'll just have to stop by again and see what other treasures you may have for me.

This sure made me chuckle! The little angel's expression actually seems to be a sweet reaction to the birds all over him! I could watch this bird action for a long time, what a treat for you Susie.

neat little birds i must say, I love the bluebirds, although I usually have to cover my truck mirrors, because MR BLUEBIRD seems to think he must fight that bluebird that stares back at him.

On another note, the coyotes were doing some real singing this morning before daylight, the neighborhood dogs were disturbed and joined in. THEy must have been fairly close to the house from the sounds of it. rounding up the pack for a kill i expect.

I bet Mrs. Bluebird was thinking, "Hmmmmm, I need to get a carpet down and a bed made pronto!"
I love your birdbath, Susie, and those very adorable birdees. I have been catching up on your blog, and it sounds like life has been crazy for you too. I hope your mother is doing well and on the road to recovery.

Spring is peaking out in my area. We didn't get any snow so it's easy to see the early bulbs and shoots force their way out to the light. I am so excited I placed a seed catalog order and planted some stawberry seeds indoors with The Princess.

I don't know what's prettier, the birds or the birdbath.

I'm seeing new snow today.
