Bath Time

We get more joy out of watching the birds in our bird bath. Who doesn't love cheap entertainment? The other day we caught this little guy out there. We hadn't seen him before.Sorry the pics were taken thru the window. We have no clue what kind of bird he is. At first he seemed reluctant to take a bath. I think he was asking the angel what he was suppose to do next. Then Mr. Blue bird came and offered his advice. Finally he got it right.

  1. I enjoy cheap entertainment too! I really love watching birds splash around in a birdbath even though I've seen them do it many times, just something sweet about it. It sure is a cute bird and a cute birdbath.

  2. Cute Susie.... Love your birdbath--but that little angle looks like she's either bored to death --or mad at that birdie!!!!! ha ha ..

Looks like a female Goldfinch MAYBE.

  4. Wow! A blue bird AND a yellow bird in your bird bath on the same day, and you not only saw them but snapped a picture. I would consider that a thrill!

  7. Almost looks like a yellow rubber duck in that first picture. ha ha!

    Maybe some type of Warbler?

I don't have a bird bath. We have a creek in our yard so that will have to do. After all--we are in Kentucky. ;)

  10. Looks like a female yellow warbler but I'm not certain. Maybe it's migrating thru your area on it's way to Central/South America for the winter. I love attracting new birds to my yard too. Exciting.

  13. I don't ever see the birds using my bird baths. Must be cause the real creek is not too far from the house.

    Great pictures.

  15. Hi Susie,
Looks like the yellow bird is a warbler of some kind. There are many different varieties that look so much alike! Nice that you got the bluebird and the yellow one together.

  17. I'm glad the bluebird came along to show him the moves. We enjoy watching the birds in our birdbath as well. It's better entertainment than many of the TV shows that are on.

  18. Adorable. I told momma today that yesterday I looked out in the backyard and the birds were going wild in the birdbath. They were everywhere. Then I saw a hummingbird sitting on a branch, two squirrels playing in the tree and a yellow butterfly flitting around. It brought such joy to my heart!!!! I love all God's creations, don't you?

  23. I see you have not been blogging as much either. We have had so much rain that nature cleaned the birdbath cleaner than it has been in quite awhile. It looks brand new, sure the birds are liking it.
